"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

the horizon is eternal

I've always said I'm going to sail around the world one day, a dream to most people and a dream to me as well, however I'm determined to turn this dream into a reality.

I'm reading The Long Way by Bernard Moitessier. One of my many inspirations. A story about a man with nothing but his boat, his mind, and the sea, finding himself and denying society.

"You do not ask a tame seagull why it needs to disappear from time to time toward the open sea. It goes, that's all."

"I am a citizen of the most beautiful nation on earth. A nation whose laws are harsh yet simple, a nation that never cheats, which is immense and without borders, where life is lived in the present. In this limitless nation, this nation of wind, light, and peace, there is no other ruler besides the sea."

Artist Series: Taylor Dodgin

Ah Taylor. This girl is crazy creative, her work is beautifully detailed and mindful. She seems to specialize in colored pencils and pastels, her paintings are amazing as well. She's currently in Design School at NC State studying studio art and I'm sure she's learning and creating all kinds of new and amazing things.
